Latest favorites

It's too late for me to think of any commentary, but I did want to post some of my favorites from the latest shoots.  I have lots more, but this will have to do for now.  I've had such a good time photographing all the families!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy November

Hope you and your family had a fun Halloween.

Here are my little trick or treaters...Big A as a witch, Little A as Tinkerbell (without her wings) and Dixie as a princess.

Have a great week!

Reminders and bridal shoot highlights

Just wanted to give some reminders and updates...

Unfortunately I can't book any more shoots.  I am booked for 2009!  With the baby coming soon, I'm stopping a little early, and leaving myself time to try and get all the photos edited and ordered before the baby comes.  And with that in mind, please remember...

- If you want photos before Christmas, I must have your order no later than November 15th. If it's after that, I cannot guarantee that they will be ready in time.

- Deadline for ordering Christmas cards...Whether I take the photos or you submit photos to me for cards, the latest I will take orders for cards will be December 10th

And now photo time...

I had the best time today at a bridal shoot with B and her mom.  She is a childhood friend of my youngest sister, Jill, so not only was it fun to catch up with her and her mom but she was such a beautiful and fun bride to photograph.  We were really worried about the weather - and the sun didn't shine for us - but at least the rain held out.

Here are some favorites...

Some shoots, some soccer

We had two fun-filled shoots this weekend and two fun-filled soccer games.   Wasn't the weather awesome?

First a look at the shoots...

I had a good time photographing L and her sweet family...

Twins, C and H, were such cute, mischievous little boys.  They wanted no part of taking pics, they just wanted to play!  But I think we all had a good time and we got some good shots.

Here's my friend, Paige's kids.  Poor C's ear hurt, so we had to be quick to get a good one.  I know this one's not perfect, but I love that it captures their personalities.

Big A had two games on Saturday.  Good news is that we won the first game, and Big A scored three goals!  I was so proud that I had tears in my eyes.  It was the first time she's ever scored. Bad news is that we lost the second game.

I was so happy to have my Grandma there.  My mom was so nice to drive to Sherman to pick her up so that she could visit with us and watch A play.   We love you GG.  (So pumped that Grandma reads my blog!)

Here's the Blast.  Big A is READY!

My future author, songwriter

I had Big A's permission to share some pages from her journal. Christopher and I have gotten the biggest kick out of reading this. How funny, grown-up, creative and smart (and dramatic!) she's become.

"Chapter 3, My Songs"

"My feelings have all gone away. I just have one more feeling in my heart. I am who I am, I am who I am, who I am."

"I have expected this a long time ago. Yes, yes, yes. I love to see the smile on your face. Yes I do."

"I have a soft part in my heart. Yes I do."

"My teacher teaches sign language."

"I did the abc's in sign language."

We were so impressed with the way she drew the hands signing the letters!

And, you're right, Big A. You are who you are.

We love who you are.

We love Big Tex

I'm embarrassed to say that we've already been to the fair twice.

I mean, it does make you kind of not-so-classy to get such enjoyment out of spending an obscene amount of money on fried food and carnival rides. But, I've never really claimed to be classy, so I guess it's ok. You have to like wine - aside from box wine - to be classy, and I just can't acquire a taste for it.

Cotton candy? Now we're talking. :)

I didn't want to haul around my big camera, so I just used my phone for pics. I thought I'd post a pic of the girls with their million-dollar face paint. They loved it! Too bad it only lasted a night.

I guess we're through with the State Fair for 2009. I do love the fried Snickers, but I have a doctor's appointment on Monday, and I'm already so scared to weigh in. Two trips to the fair between the last doctor's appointment and this next one. Oh, it's going to be ugly.

Guess we'll wait until next year, when we get to take our THREE girls to see Big Tex!

Arboretum mini-sessions sneak peek

I couldn't wait to come home, edit and post a few of my favorite shots from the Arboretum mini-sessions I had this morning. It was a lot of fun! The weather and gardens were beautiful.

Thank you families for letting me photograph you and your loved ones!
